Character Ages

Age's are measured in "moons".

There are 23 moons to one "earth year". So call it twenty approx. So 20 years old would be 20 x 20, or 400moons.

Instead of weeks, inhabitants of the Luqin Sea refer to "half-moons", eight days long. There are two half-moons to each moon. New moon and full moon mark the beginnings of a half-moon.

New moon and full moon, being the first day of the half-moon also mark a traditional day of rest and worship across the whole of the area.
